Information Literacy Instruction

Subject librarians tailor their information literacy teaching for specific learning contexts, working with faculty to help meet students' information needs and align with course and program learning outcomes. The Libary's Information Literacy Learning Outcomes, developed in 2023, are built on the conceptual Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education published by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).
Your subject librarian is available to:

  • Help inform information source use and evaluation aspects of your research assignments
  • Support your students with assignment-specific information literacy teaching, hands-on activities, and instruction resources, including:
    • In-class teaching workshops (in person or virtual)
    • Online guides, visual instructions, or how-to videos
